Workshop background

The one-day, Business Alliance training workshop on “Improving SME Regional and Global Supply Chain Competitiveness through the Digital Economy” in Ho Chi Minh City on April 14, 2016 will be convened in partnership with the ACCMSME’s country focal point, the Agency for Enterprise Development, Ministry of Planning and Investment, Viet Nam, as well as with VWEC.

Workshop topics

The topics for training will include, but are not limited to, (a) an update on the rules of origin in Viet Nam’s new FTAs (TPP and EVFTA in particular); (b) opportunities and challenges as well as viable business strategies and good business practices for market access and supply-chain linkages in the digital economy; (c) cloud services plus technology tools and solutions for improved enterprise transformation and digital capabilities as well as for enhanced online shopping experience, e-customers’ satisfaction and services, enterprise back-end efficiency; (d) cross-border e-payment tools and ways and means for better efficiency in the payment process; and (e) managing risks in cross-border contracts.
